The Mind & Body Centre is Nottingham's first full time Yoga and Tai Chi centre. The centre was opened in 1998 by owner and accomplished teacher Jay Rossi.

Jay has been practising since 1988 and has studied extensively in the East, he has been teaching since 1990. Jay is regarded as one of the most gifted teachers in the Yoga and Tai Chi Styles. He has developed a unique way of presenting classes from these ancient methods which makes them accessible to all. He offers a wealth of experience which can help you restore the balance between your mind and body.

As well as running the Mind & Body Centre, Jay also leads workshops, retreats and teacher training events all over the world. His very popular weekend and week long retreats are a great way to give you time and space to refresh your body and soul been heralded as a life changing experience by many who have attended them.

Chen style Taijiquan is the oldest form of Taiji, from which all others have been created.
Chen style was created at the end of the Ming dynasty, and is based upon ancient wisdom of body/mind/spirit.
The Meditative Taiji movements increase and circulate the flow of lifeforce in your body. The movements exercise all the joints of the body, give you better muscle tone, much improved posture, breathing and concentration, and at an advanced stage excellent self defence.
